HOISTING SELF ESTEEM

The way you dress is how you will be addressed is what people says. Now I am not visually talking about fashion now how we dress but I will be talking on how we get addressed. The way you present yourself is how you get addressed. Self esteem has a lot to do with self presentation, it can not be seen on faces neither can it be expressed by dresses nor by a rich voice pitch. Self esteem is what becomes part of us either low or high since our childhood period.

People with high self esteem could be easily traced to their childhood period because it is an attribute that can never be built overnight, it takes gradual process for it to be developed. People with low self esteem are seen to be more dense in the society, always afraid to break rules. If traced to their childhood period, it will be discovered they were the bully during their elementary period. This kind of people are not naturally dense, they are being affected by the society they are in. Schools and homes, those are the societies. If a kid is getting bullied at school and at the same time at home, then he will get no lead both in school and at home. It takes time for a reliable self esteem to be built in such situation.
Now, let us consider things. Take for instance a societal setting which is the school. The pupil always get scolded and bullied at school then after school, he is seen to be the greatest disturbance at home. What do you think? Such a kid still have a very high hope of building a great momentum of self esteem and can surely succeed even more than his colleagues in what he does. He will be seen to be the best in another school.

The second situation is when the kid gets scolded and bullied, most often, before going to school, during the school hours and after school. Now tell me! How can this type of pupil cope? He will leave home in the morning depressed, getting into the class still thinking of what happened at home. He will be in a very high depression that he won't be able to perform actively in class, becoming more and more a dullard. You will rarely find him where others are playing. Such kids turns to the most used house materials, always maltreated and gets scared to voice for himself.

This doesn't happen in school alone, it happens in all settings. If your child(ren) is going through this, it is high time you find the best possible solution. Just change the environment.
If you are all grown up and you are facing this challenge of low self esteem then this content is for you. Some possible aids will be provided.
The number one thing I will be talking you to is diet. Yes! Eat a well balanced meal(s) and if not balanced, make it balanced enough in the sense that anything you eat do not over-eat, that way your diet is balanced and you will feel comfortable.

2. Be well dressed. As said earlier, the way you dress is how you get addressed. Make sure you always keep your clothes clean and neat, that is the least you can do for yourself even if you don't have to iron. Choose your favorite color and don't say "oh! I have been wearing this for a while", remember it's YOU not anybody else. And you won't be surprised as how you will be appreciated for wearing what you like. Getting well dressed is the secret weapon behind high self esteem.

3. Be punctual. In any event, formal or informal, always be punctual and in so doing you will not only build high self esteem, you will be more self-reliant, you will feel fulfilled.

4. Talk less and listen more.

5. Try talking to yourself at times as if you are coaching in a seminar but not in public, it can be at home, in your room. This ain't madness, it also keep you more determined.

6. Listen to music that goes with your mood, not any music. And try to listen to music that are motivational and inspiring.

7. Stop comparing yourself with someone else.

8. Always pray to GOD to lead your way.

Be determined and you will be surprised how you hoist your self esteem high in no time.
